国際青少年サイエンス交流事業「さくらサイエンスプログラム」に採択された さくらオンラインプログラム「Connecting with IoT technology」が 2022年8月から11月にわたる全部で5日間の活動の幕を閉じました。
このプログラムは、本学が主催者となり、台湾の淡江大学、シンガポールのニューカッスル大学をネットワークで結んで行われました。5つの特別講演、参加大学の紹介及びIoT研究状況の紹介、学生たちの M5Stack＋AIカメラによるIoTアプリの開発といった内容で構成され、11月13日には3つの学生グループがIoTアプリ開発の結果発表を行いました。参加者からは「参加できてよかった」「海外の学生と協力し合えてよかった」「対面だともっとよかった」「次もあったら参加したい」などの声が聞かれました。

● I am honored to be able to participate in this conference this time. Japan is a country with advanced technology. If I go to Japan for sightseeing or even study in the future, I think I can experience more Japanese culture and knowledge.
● It is a great experience for academic research through three universities. Learn about the relevant knowledge of Internet of Things. I am very grateful to attend the program.
● I enjoy a lot of speeches in this activity, and learned the development of M5Stack for research and implementation. It is rare to have the opportunity to communicate with foreign students. I think this is a great and unforgettable activity.
● The program was very useful for students as well as for organizers. From these events, the students can share their knowledge with peers and make new friends. Each can share culture and traditions among friends. This program is not just like another typical online workshop because the event provides hardware facilities for the students to work on, and it is a very specialty of this Sakura Program.
